Meet the Goats
Our Mini Nubian goats are the heart and soul of the farm! Known for their charming, floppy ears and playful personalities, these friendly little goats are a cross between Nigerian Dwarfs and Nubians, making them the perfect size for a small farm like ours. They’re not only adorable but also incredibly affectionate, making them a joy to be around. Their rich, creamy milk is the foundation of our skin care products, and their sweet, laid-back nature brings so much joy to our farm every day. You’ll quickly see why we adore these lovable little goats!

First up is Cheyenne, our only full Nubian doe and my very first bottle baby. From the moment she was born, she’s had a special place in my heart. Cheyenne is the sweetest, most loving goat you’ll ever meet. She’s always the first to greet you with a gentle nudge and is eager for a good scratch or cuddle. Despite being on the smaller side for a Nubian, don’t let her size fool you—she’s mighty! Her sweet, gentle nature makes her a farm favorite, and she’s truly the heart of our herd. We can’t imagine the farm without her!

Opal is our registered Mini Alpine, and a true gem of the herd. While she isn’t a Mini Nubian like the rest of the gang, Opal has certainly earned her place as a big part of our farm family. She was my very first milk goat, and she showed incredible patience while I learned the ropes of milking—her calm, steady demeanor made the process so much easier. We affectionately call her "goat-dog" because she’s incredibly personable and loves to snuggle up for a cuddle. Opal is so attached that she’ll follow you anywhere, even hopping into the truck if you're not careful! Her gentle, affectionate nature makes her a true farm favorite.

Cricket and Dolly are a mother-daughter duo that bring plenty of personality to the herd. Cricket, the more independent of the two, has a friendly demeanor but also a stubborn streak. She’s the type to do exactly what she wants, no matter what you say! While she enjoys her cuddles, she’s also known for playfully pushing the other goats away to keep all the attention for herself. Her strong-willed nature makes her a real character on the farm.Dolly, her daughter, shares her mother’s determination but has a much more laid-back attitude. She’s the cuddlebug of the pair, always ready for some love and attention. But don’t let that fool you—Dolly has her own playful side! She’s a master at finding any loose bit of clothing—whether it’s untying your shoelaces, playing with a sweatshirt drawstring, or fiddling with a zipper—she’ll entertain herself for hours with her mischievous antics. Together, they’re a perfect balance of sweet and sassy, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Next, we have Meadow, a registered Mini Nubian doe and my second milk goat. Meadow is a bit more reserved than some of the others, but she’s slowly coming out of her shell and becoming more comfortable with each passing day. While she’s still learning to enjoy cuddles, she’s starting to trust us more and more, and it’s been wonderful to watch her build confidence on the milk stand. Meadow’s milk is incredibly rich, and she comes from some outstanding dairy genetics, so we’re excited to see what she’ll bring to the herd. Fingers crossed, we’ll be welcoming our first kids from her in the spring of 2025—there’s a lot of anticipation around this sweet girl’s future!

Sir is the mischievous heart of the herd, and he lives up to every bit of his reputation as the resident troublemaker. A mixed breed wether from a local family, Sir was my very first goat, bought as a companion for my Shetland ewe, Nina. From day one, he’s kept me on my toes, teaching me everything there is to know about goat husbandry—and I’m sure he’s got many more lessons in store! Whether it's jumping fences, finding the tiniest gap in the pen, or timing it perfectly to slip through when the electric fence gives out, Sir is what earned goats their reputation as escape artists.
When he’s in the mood for attention, he’ll demand it—standing right in front of you with his crystal blue eyes, as if he can look right into your soul. But if he's not feeling cuddly? Good luck catching him—he’s got the perfect escape plan ready to go. Sir knows exactly what you want from him, and with a sly look, will do the exact opposite, leaving you laughing (or maybe a little frustrated) at his clever antics. He’s a true character, and life on the farm wouldn’t be the same without him!
-
This is Jimmy, our registered Mini Nubian buck, and he’s a sweet, playful guy with a big heart! While he might come with a little bit of “buck perfume” (for those brave enough to cuddle him), he’s always eager for attention and affection. When he first joined the herd, Jimmy was a bit shy and lacked some confidence, but we’ve seen him grow stronger and more assertive as time goes on. We’re hopeful that he’s ready to step into his role as the herd’s sire, and we’re excited to see what the spring of 2025 will bring with his first kids. Jimmy’s playful nature and sweet personality make him a joy to have on the farm, and we can’t wait to see his legacy continue!

Reba is Cricket's other daughter and twin sister to Dolly, and she brings a touch of grace and poise to the herd. With her more laid-back, regal personality, she’s gentle and sweet with her humans, always calm and easy to be around. But don’t let her gentle demeanor fool you—when food is involved, Reba knows how to hold her own! She’s not afraid to give the other goats a little nudge to make sure she gets her fair share. Her balance of sweetness and assertiveness makes her a perfect addition to our farm family, and we’re so glad she’s part of the herd.
